Welcome to The Cove!

Good evening America!

WHAT. A. DAY.  Jam packed and fun filled ... your teens are taking the town by storm. We took the afternoon session off to catch up on some sleep and spend some quality team time down by the water. After finishing a late breakfast, we headed down to the rocks (which is literally a minute away from our accomodations) and enjoyed some quiet time on the peaceful harbor.

One by one, team members have been sharing their testimonies with the group, and today we heard Bradley and Heidi's stories. Such an encouragement listening to your teens journey and how God is working in their lives.

After a beautiful morning on the water, we were inspired with a name for the drop-in! Here's the initial mock up of the logo that Tim created:

Not only is the name suitable for the coastal town of Greystones, but it alludes to the fact that Jesus Christ is our shelter and protector even in the toughest of life's storms.

While the rest of the team went to town to hand out flyers for the drop-in, Tim, Mary-Grace and Anne cooked up a fabulous dinner of chicken and beef tacos. Master Chef Tim manned the cooktop while sporting an apron and making a mess.  The critics (your teenagers and a few Irish youth workers) raved about the meal.

This evening, we had the opportunity to run The Cove out of the Presbyterian Church which is much closer to the center of town. Although numbers were small, the layout provided a more intimate setting. The teens are looking ahead to the upcoming week, hopeful that numbers will increase and Christ-centered conversations will continue.

We are truly blessed to have this opportunity to invest in and lead your teenagers. They have impressed us time and time again, and we are so excited to see how God will continue to use them on this trip and after they return home.

Parents - thank you for raising such respectful, caring and willing individuals. They truly shine.

In Christ,

Greystones Leadership (The Cove Crew)
