Greystones: Day One of the Drop-In

Happy Monday to everyone back in the States!

Today in Greystones, we kicked off our week by setting up our new team meeting room and running our first session at the DROP-IN CENTER! The teenagers impressed us beyond belief, starting with the way they got to work cleaning up the grounds at the YWCA where we are staying. (As you can see, AJ got down and dirty with the toilets.) We then set off to the Nazarene Church, where the teens designed a cool layout for how they want the drop-in center to look, including an area for basketball and dodgeball, a craft corner, a card table, ping pong, a snack stand and a video game area. Jesse, Josh, Kaytlyn and Heidi then took the town by storm-- handing out flyers and spreading the word--while the rest of the crew got to work on set up and sign making. It was a great first night at the drop-in. We met about five students from the church's youth club, and about ten new teenagers who hadn't been to the Nazarene showed up to hang out. Thank you for all of your prayers; they are working!! Keep praying, and we'll keep posting.

Love,
Mary-Grace
